Job Overview:

A law firm based in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented attorney with experience in construction-related disputes to join its growing litigation team. The role offers a unique blend of remote flexibility and complex casework involving construction defects, contracts, and insurance defense matters. Duties:

  • Prepare legal pleadings, motions, and related documents for pre-trial, trial, and settlement phases

  • Represent clients in hearings, mediations, depositions, and court proceedings

  • Conduct in-depth legal research and interpret laws related to construction disputes

  • Develop case strategies, assess liability and exposure, and advise clients accordingly

  • Participate in negotiations and settlement discussions on behalf of clients

  • Maintain clear communication with clients and internal team members

  • Keep all case files and documentation accurately organized and updated

  • Support ongoing litigation efforts and participate in special legal assignments as needed

Requirements:

  • Active membership in the Florida Bar

  • Ability to manage cases with minimal supervision

  • Demonstrated effectiveness in oral advocacy and legal writing

  • Strong organizational skills and commitment to deadlines

  • Willingness to meet assigned billing expectations

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited . law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Florida

  • Georgia Bar admission is a plus

Skills:

  • Skilled in legal drafting, litigation strategy, and case analysis

  • Proficient in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal setting

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Familiarity with construction law or insurance defense preferred

Job Location:

  • Jacksonville, FL

  • Position is available fully remote or hybrid; candidates must reside in Florida or Georgia
