We are seeking an experienced Trusts & Estates Planning Associate Attorney to join our team at a premier law firm in Lake Success, NY. As a Trusts & Estates Planning Associate Attorney, you will play a critical role in supporting and expanding our estate planning and elder law practice. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse client base, including high-net-worth individuals and families with special needs. This role emphasizes client counseling, drafting, and implementing estate planning strategies while working closely with experienced partners who blend technical skill with compassion.

In this role, you will handle the preparation of wills, powers of attorney, health care proxies, various types of trusts, Medicaid applications, and asset protection strategies. You should have a . from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice law in New York. We are looking for candidates with at least 5 years of experience in estate and tax planning, asset preservation, and/or elder law. Familiarity with Medicaid eligibility, trust funding, and planning for individuals with special needs is also required.

To be successful in this role, you should have excellent writing and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to approach legal planning with empathy and clarity. Any interest or experience in alternative dispute resolution is a plus. While a small book of business is welcomed, it is not required for this position.

In return for your hard work and dedication, we offer a competitive salary range of $140,000–$175,000 (commensurate with experience) and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and 401(k) options.
