Job Title: Managing Director, Forensics
Job Responsibilities:
The Managing Director in Forensics is tasked with a range of responsibilities critical to the growth and operational success of the department:
- Business Development: The Managing Director is responsible for developing business through relationships, contacts, and other opportunities. This includes leading in the development of business opportunities and proposals, and creating a business development plan to identify new opportunities for the Forensics Practice and other business lines.
- Client Engagement: Engaging actively in discussions and meetings with clients is essential. This involves communicating with clients in an organized, knowledgeable manner, and delivering clear, concise, and accurate documents and requests. The Managing Director must analyze the current business environment, understand client needs, assess risks, and identify recommendations or areas of improvement.
- Thought Leadership: Developing industry-specific thought leadership articles and communications is part of the role, alongside aiding in the development of targeted and industry-specific marketing materials.
- Industry Trends: The Managing Director must monitor and implement industry trends and best practices, fostering a positive, team-focused environment.
- Supervisory Duties: The role includes supervising the day-to-day workload of various staff assigned to assist with pursuits and opportunities and acting as a Career Advisor to Managers, Senior Associates, and Associates. Additionally, evaluating the performance of Compliance Managers, Senior Associates, and Associates and assisting in the development of goals and objectives to enhance professional development is required.
- Team Leadership: Building and maintaining strong relationships with client and internal personnel, encouraging a team environment on engagements, and contributing to the professional development of assigned personnel are key aspects of the job. The Managing Director must effectively manage a team of professionals and delegate work assignments as needed.
Education and Experience Information:
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree is required, while an MBA or JD is preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of eight years of experience in developing business and managing relationships is required.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required, while experience with transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and customer risk rating tools is preferred.
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong business development skills through relationships, contacts, and other opportunities.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to work as a self-starter, successfully multi-tasking while working independently or within a group environment.
- Strong analytical, writing, and presentation skills, with a strong delivery focus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and solid organizational skills with the ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details.
- Proven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the company.
Salary Information:
Individual salaries offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography. The salary ranges are as follows:
- National Range: $200,000 - $400,000
- Maryland Range: $200,000 - $400,000
- NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $200,000 - $400,000
