As the Sr. Global Customs Counsel, you will play a crucial role in providing legal and regulatory advice on global customs requirements to facilitate cross border trade for the **Members Only** community. You will have the opportunity to work on innovative projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help enable new logistics operations around the world.

Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate and advise on the design, development, and roll out of new business models, products, and features with a global scalability focus
- Advise the Global Logistics team on compliance with global customs authorities and inform business partners of new developments or changes in requirements
- Translate complex customs regulations and rulings into clear requirements for business, compliance, product, and engineering teams
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to anticipate regulatory changes and proactively advise leadership on how to navigate them
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously under deadline pressure
- Draft and negotiate commercial agreements to support the Global Logistics team in customs related initiatives
Minimum qualifications:
- . degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in at least one US state bar
- 8+ years of experience providing customs related advice to logistics organizations, carriers, manufacturers, retailers, internet or technology companies, or government agencies
- Experience advising on US and global customs regulations and customs rulings
- Deep understanding of customs clearance processes
- Technical understanding of the global customs ecosystem, particularly in relation to a global e-commerce company
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage and deliver on multiple top-priority projects
- Applicants with previous experience working as a customs broker or with a brokerage, or experience working directly with or for US Customs and Border Protection are highly encouraged to apply
Salary information:
- The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington DC, or New York is expected to be between $190,000 - $220,000
- The base pay range for all other . work locations is expected to be between $132,000 - $212,000
- Base pay offered may vary depending on individual factors such as location, skills, and experience
- The total compensation package for this position may also include a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable), as well as a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits
