Hiring Organization:
The **Members Only**'s Office (AGO) is seeking dedicated Assistant Attorney Generals to join their team and perform complex legal work for the State of Arizona. The AGO has jurisdiction over a wide range of legal matters, including consumer fraud, white collar crime, public corruption, and environmental laws.
Position Overview:
As an Assistant Attorney General, you will provide legal advice and representation for the State in complex cases in state and federal court. This includes preparing legal documents, conducting legal research, and appearing in court. You will also be responsible for responding to inquiries from law enforcement and the general public, attending meetings and trainings, and managing a significant volume of high exposure cases.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide legal representation and advice to the State in complex cases
• Prepare legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and memoranda
• Conduct legal research and discovery
• Respond to inquiries from law enforcement and the general public
• Attend meetings and trainings as necessary
Qualifications:
• Active Arizona State Bar license
• Knowledge of applicable statutes, case law, and court rules
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage a significant volume of high exposure cases
• Dedication and interest in public service
