This role involves managing cases from inception through resolution, including litigation, negotiations, and client advocacy. Duties:
- Represent clients in personal injury matters, including auto accidents, premises liability, and other claims.
- Manage all aspects of personal injury cases, including investigations, legal strategy, and client communication.
- Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and legal memoranda.
- Conduct depositions, and attend mediations, hearings, and court proceedings.
- Consult with expert witnesses, review reports, and prepare affidavits.
- Negotiate settlements while maintaining a trial-ready approach for each case.
- Provide guidance and clear communication to clients throughout the legal process.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience handling personal injury cases.
- Proven ability to manage a large caseload and achieve favorable results.
- Strong litigation skills, including motion practice, discovery, and courtroom advocacy.
- Excellent negotiation and client advocacy skills.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
Certifications:
- An active member in good standing with the Illinois Bar.
