Job Title: Lead Tax Analyst - Sales and Use

Job Responsibilities:
The Lead Tax Analyst at the company is tasked with providing tax expertise to peers within the Product Management, Marketing, and Customer Support departments. The role requires the analyst to act as a subject matter expert and project point person on various projects and initiatives. Key responsibilities include:

- Supervising day-to-day processes and procedures to ensure high-quality content releases that meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Developing and coaching team members, as well as assigning and delegating work to staff.
- Meeting assigned schedules and targets and participating in the performance management process.
- Engaging in process improvement initiatives.
- Communicating and discussing tax concepts with both tax professionals and non-tax professionals, serving as an indirect tax adviser internally and externally.
- Leading content projects, which involves planning and estimates, resourcing, detailed design requirements, implementation, and rigorous quality assurance. This includes assigning tasks, tracking and monitoring progress, and reporting status.
- Providing tax expertise to business unit peers in Product Management, Marketing, and Customer Support.

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates interested in the Lead Tax Analyst role should possess the following qualifications and experience:

- A minimum of 6+ years of indirect tax experience, with at least 4+ years in tax calculation and compliance software experience.
- Some experience in leading teams.
- Excellent knowledge and deep understanding of Indirect Tax rules and regulations impacting tax calculation and compliance.
- Deep tax analytical skills with the ability to determine accurate tax decisions with appropriate legal support.
- Experience in handling complex tax content projects in a multi-tasking environment, performing research, and meeting strict content deadlines and budgets.
- Experience working closely with customer support, development, and product management to meet and exceed customer needs.
- Ability to put the customer at the center of content activities and decision-making.
- Written and spoken fluency in English.
- Desired skills include experience in Sales and Use, 1040, 1120, or 1065 tax return preparation, and fluency in languages other than English.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Tax/Accounting/Finance is required.
- A JD, LLM, MBA, or CPA/Chartered Tax Adviser qualification is considered a plus.

Salary Information:
The base compensation range for the Lead Tax Analyst role varies across locations. For eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range is $72,100 - $133,900. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors, including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is part of a comprehensive Total Reward program, which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
