Heading 1: Seeking Experienced Workers Compensation Attorney
Law Firm is seeking a motivated candidate with 5+ years of experience to join our expanding Workers Compensation Defense Team for up to 30 hours per week. The position is for our Des Moines or Cedar Rapids location. Candidates should possess a strong academic background, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to prioritize and manage workload.
Heading 2: Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage a workers' compensation defense caseload with independence
- Successfully try cases, conduct depositions and mediations
- Effectively establish, build, and maintain relationships with all assigned clients
- Participate in marketing and business development opportunities within the firm
- Engage in a collaborative team atmosphere
- Utilize available technology to manage clients effectively and efficiently within a paperless work environment
Heading 3: Qualifications
- Minimum five years of relevant experience
- Licensed and in good standing in Iowa
- Understanding of current court-related procedures
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Collaborative and committed to working as part of a team

- Remote flexibility will be considered on a case-by-case basis
- Relocation candidates are welcome to apply – must be eligible for waiver into Iowa or willing to sit for the next bar exam
- Salary will be commensurate with experience
Law Firm is looking for an experienced Workers Compensation Attorney to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and be licensed and in good standing in Iowa. The attorney will manage a workers’ compensation defense caseload with independence, successfully try cases, conduct depositions and mediations, and effectively establish, build, and maintain relationships with all assigned clients. They will also participate in marketing and business development opportunities within the firm, engage in a collaborative team atmosphere, and utilize available technology to manage clients effectively and efficiently within a paperless work environment.
