Job Title: Tax Senior, Specialized Tax Services Partnerships
Job Responsibilities:
1. Tax Specialization:
- Develop an in-depth understanding of technical and practical issues related to partnership taxation.
- Participate in organizing and conducting external CPE training sessions in the area of specialization at least once per year.
- Train and mentor interns and associates, including training on current software tools.
2. Research:
- Assist in identifying when research is necessary, work with leadership to frame issues for research, and report analyses clearly.
- Identify complex issues for research by the engagement team and provide research methodology.
- Train interns and associates on research skills and frame tax issues for analysis.
3. Tax Consulting:
- Assist in developing, recommending, and implementing methods to maximize client benefits by decreasing current and future taxes.
- Collaborate with leadership to recommend solutions by applying tax knowledge and business/industry knowledge.
- Work with leadership to manage client expectations and implement applicable company strategies.
4. Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Participate in scheduling and managing workload of interns and associates.
- Supervise day-to-day workload of interns on various projects.
- Review work prepared by interns and associates and provide feedback.
Education and Experience Information:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required; major in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics preferred.
- Master’s in Accountancy or Taxation preferred.
Experience:
- Two or more years of prior tax experience and/or public accounting, private industry accounting, or consulting/professional services experience required.
- Specialized partnership experience preferred.
- Private equity experience at both fund and portfolio company levels preferred.
License/Certifications:
- CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a . jurisdiction), or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (EA) preferred.
- Possession of other professional degrees or certifications applicable to the role preferred.
Software:
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
- Experience with tax research databases and tax compliance process software preferred.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical, research, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and develop client relationships.
- Solid organizational skills, especially with meeting project deadlines.
