Banking & Capital Markets Tax Manager

Job Responsibilities:
A career in the Financial Services Tax practice within Corporate Tax services at the company offers the opportunity to assist clients in meeting their tax obligations while managing the impact tax has on their business. Key responsibilities include advising clients on local and overseas tax affairs, acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners. The role also involves helping organizations understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties and providing advice on the tax implications of deals. The team assists Financial Services clients in navigating the frequently changing and complex national and international tax environment, which includes stringent capital requirements, management of operational tax risks, and tax implications of investing in different jurisdictions. The role requires helping clients with tax structuring and addressing the challenges of the continuously changing tax world both locally and globally.

As a Manager, you will work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include:

Education and Experience Information:
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree
- Required Fields of Study: Accounting
- Minimum Years of Experience: 4 year(s)

Certification(s) Required:
- CPA, Member of the Bar, or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in dealing with tax issues facing multinational US companies or publicly traded entities, especially in tax consulting and tax reporting and compliance.
- Extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success as a tax technical professional, researching business and industry trends to develop a point of view for assisting with proposals and considering opportunities across multiple lines of service.
- Extensive abilities in automation and digitization in a professional services environment, including innovating through new and existing technologies and experimenting with digitization solutions.
- Experience with working with large, complex data sets to build models and leverage data visualization tools.
- Experience in pricing, client value, and the negotiation process, including reviewing contracts and finding opportunities to introduce new pricing options.
- Experience in executing corporate planning and compliance, as well as tax accounting and financial reporting, including tax provision preparation, audit, and review using ASC 740 techniques.
- Technical skills working with tax tools and resources including tax provision and compliance software such as Corptax, OneSource, or similar platforms.
- Use of research methods including Westlaw, RIA, and CCH.
- Leadership abilities in creating a positive environment by monitoring workloads of the team while meeting client expectations and respecting the work-life quality of team members.
- Providing candid, meaningful feedback in a timely manner and keeping leadership informed of progress and issues.

Salary Information:
The salary range for this position is $98,300 - $266,000. Individuals may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will depend on the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
