Baker Tilly is currently seeking a highly motivated Tax Senior Manager to join our Commercial Services team. In this role, you will work closely with middle market clients to provide tax advisory and compliance services. You will have the opportunity to lead engagements, mentor and coach staff, and build relationships with clients and firm leadership. Key responsibilities:

Provide federal tax compliance and consulting services to middle market clients in various industries

Serve as a trusted business advisor, leading client relationships and providing solutions to complex tax and accounting challenges

Research and respond to tax authority inquiries and make recommendations to clients

Work closely with specialty tax practices on complicated tax matters

Manage client engagement staffing, billing, and profitability targets

Network and build relationships to acquire new clients and projects

Invest in your professional development through firm-wide learning and development programs

Mentor and develop team members to help them achieve their professional goals

Maintain work-life balance with social activities and team outings

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, law, or similar field; advanced degree preferred

CPA or JD required

8+ years of experience providing federal tax compliance and consulting services in a professional services firm

5+ years of supervisory experience

Strong management, analytical, and communication skills

Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, and stay current on relevant strategies and ethical standards

Proficiency in software and Microsoft Suite
