Job Overview:

A respected Los Angeles-based law firm is seeking a mid-level attorney with focused experience in labor and employment matters. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in sophisticated, high-stakes litigation, particularly in wage and hour disputes, representative actions, and class litigation under California law. The position offers a hybrid work schedule and an opportunity to collaborate with seasoned attorneys in a dynamic practice.

Duties:

  • Manage complex wage and hour litigation, including class actions and Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) cases

  • Represent employers in all stages of employment litigation in both state and federal courts

  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements

  • Conduct legal research and develop case strategies based on current employment law developments

  • Advise clients on risk management, compliance, and labor regulations

  • Participate in mediations, negotiations, and client counseling sessions

  • Collaborate with a diverse team of attorneys on high-profile employment law matters

  • Maintain client confidentiality and ensure compliance with internal legal and ethical obligations

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of dedicated labor and employment litigation experience

  • Significant background in wage and hour class action matters, including PAGA

  • Strong analytical and writing skills, with a record of success in motion practice

  • Familiarity with federal and California employment statutes and regulatory frameworks

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of California

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited . law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in California (required)

Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of California labor codes and employment litigation strategy

  • Exceptional legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills

  • Strong client communication and relationship-building abilities

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
