Job Responsibilities:
A career in the Financial Services Tax practice within Corporate Tax services at the company offers the opportunity to assist clients in meeting their tax obligations while managing the business impact of tax. The role involves advising clients on both local and international tax matters, acting as a strategic consultant in business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners. The successful candidate will help organizations understand pricing implications of goods and services between related parties and provide advice on the tax implications of deals. The role involves navigating the complex national and international tax environment for Financial Services clients, addressing stringent capital requirements, operational tax risks, and tax implications of investing in various jurisdictions. The position demands assisting clients with tax structuring and addressing the challenges of a continuously evolving tax world, both locally and globally.

Education and Experience Information:
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree
- Required Fields of Study: Accounting
- Minimum Years of Experience: 4 years
- Certification(s) Required: CPA, Member of the Bar, or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Thorough knowledge of tax compliance methods, strategy consulting for Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) and Real Estate Partnerships.
- Considerable knowledge of partnership structures and their impact on real estate transactions and corresponding tax liabilities.
- Considerable knowledge of accounting of Unrelated Business Taxable Income.
- Comprehensive technical skills in providing full services to real estate owners, developers, and investors, including publicly traded REITs, institutional real estate funds managed by financial institutions, and privately held real estate entities.
- Considerable experience in identifying and addressing client needs, building and maintaining client relationships, managing resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing, and collections.
- Experience as a team leader, supervising teams to create an atmosphere of trust, seeking diverse views for improvement and innovation, and coaching staff with timely feedback.
- Demonstrated success as a tax technical business advisor, including developing new relationships, introducing new services, and doing so with a "One Firm" service mindset.
- Familiarity with a CRM system.
- Knowledge of automation & digitization in a professional services environment, including innovating through new technologies, working with large data sets, and utilizing digitization tools to optimize engagements.
- Knowledge of alternative fee arrangements and pricing strategies.
Salary Information:
The salary range for this position is $98,300 - $266,000, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. The listed salary range is applicable for roles based in Maryland. Actual compensation will depend on the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
