This is a great opportunity for an experienced paralegal/office administrator to join a highly respected and successful law firm. Key Responsibilities:
The paralegal/office administrator will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including drafting legal documents, managing office administrative tasks, and providing exceptional customer service to clients. Some of the key responsibilities include:
· Drafting trust and estate planning documents such as letters, wills, trust agreements, advance healthcare directives, and powers of attorney
· Drafting business entity organization and governing documents
· Meeting with clients, trustees, beneficiaries, and family members and communicating with all of them
· Managing various office administrative tasks and ensuring the smooth operation of our office
· Performing general office duties such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, filing, and greeting visitors
· Handling payroll processing and maintaining employee records
· Managing billing, attorney time entry, and bookkeeping
· Managing incoming and outgoing mail, including sorting and distributing
· Maintaining inventory of office supplies and placing orders as needed
· Working collaboratively with attorneys and other staff to ensure our clients receive outstanding service and attention
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience as a paralegal and possess the following qualifications:
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
· Working knowledge or willingness to learn QuickBooks and time-keeping software (currently Sage Timeslips)
· Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
· Experience preparing trust and estate legal documents (preferred but not required)
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Positive attitude, dependability, good judgment, and initiative
· Ability to work in a team environment
· Trustworthy and honest
Salary and Benefits:
The salary for this position will be commensurate with experience and can range from $55,000 to $70,000 per year. In addition, the firm offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and free on-site parking. The firm also provides a private office for the paralegal/office administrator.
Work Schedule and Location:
This is a full-time position with standard hours of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday. The work location is at the law firm's office in Wilmington, Delaware, at 15 Center Meeting Road. The ideal candidate must be willing to relocate to the area if not already located there.
