Job Title:
Tax Senior, Transaction Advisory Services (Special Projects)

Job Responsibilities:
The Tax Senior, Transaction Advisory Services is a key team member responsible for ensuring the timely execution of engagements and meeting or exceeding client expectations. This role supports the national Transaction Advisory Services Tax strategy, specifically within the Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Tax group. The responsibilities include:
- Participating as a member of multiple client engagement teams in due diligence and structuring engagements related to transactions pursued by private equity and strategic corporate entities.
- Identifying and analyzing tax risks and opportunities, advising both strategic and private equity buyers and sellers on alternative tax strategies for acquisition, disposition, and restructuring of businesses.
- Assisting in reviewing and analyzing merger agreements and providing opinion letters.
- Reviewing, assessing, and advising clients regarding the tax computations in their financial models and assisting in the quantitative and qualitative analysis of tax data in their financial projections.
- Managing risk and financial performance of engagements, including budgeting, billing, and collection.
- Collaborating closely with colleagues from various company offices globally.
- Developing and mentoring subordinates to support career satisfaction and progression.
- Performing other duties as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervising staff on projects and engagements.

Education and Experience Information:

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- ., . in Taxation, and/or Master’s in Taxation (MST) from an accredited college/university preferred.

Experience:
- Two (2) or more years of relevant experience.

License/Certifications:
- CPA License and/or . preferred.

Software:
- Strong skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint preferred.

Language:
- N/A

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent tax research skills, including mastery of Checkpoint, CCH, and/or Lexis.
- Experience managing multiple client engagements and client service teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to articulate complex information when providing crucial negotiation insights, etc.
- Strong self-motivation with the ability to work in a dynamic, time-sensitive environment with varying deliverables and changing requirements.
- Must be technically competent across multiple US federal, international, and state income tax disciplines.
- Fundamental working knowledge of all or essentially all non-income-based federal, state, and foreign tax regimes, including but not limited to indirect, payroll, property, and ad valorem taxes.
- Understanding of US GAAP, including the accounting for income tax principles.
- Experience with tax controversy and procedure.
- Ability and willingness to travel when necessary.

Salary Information:
Individual salaries offered to a candidate are determined after considering numerous factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
- California Range: $100,000 - $150,000
- NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $100,000 - $150,000
- Washington Range: $100,000 - $150,000
