Job Title: Corporate Associate

Job Responsibilities:

- The Corporate Associate will be part of the Transactions Practice and Emerging Growth Companies & Venture Capital groups within the law firm.
- The primary focus will be advising startup, early-stage, and emerging growth companies as well as venture capital funds.
- The role requires expertise in cap table construction and SAFE and NVCA financing transactions.
- The associate will engage in general corporate governance and provide advisory services.
- There will be substantial direct client interaction, requiring strong client management skills.
- The position encourages an interest in practice development, suggesting opportunities for growth and leadership within the firm.
- The role supports the law firm’s clients in navigating complex business transactions, from early-stage ideation and formation to fundraising rounds, IPOs, and M&A events.
- The associate will work with clients across various sectors including AI, pharmaceuticals, digital media, blockchain and cryptocurrencies, defense and quantum technologies, digital health, and enterprise software.
- The firm also represents prominent investors in these ecosystems.

Education and Experience Information:

- Candidates must have 3 to 5 years of corporate transactional experience, specifically focused on advising startup, early-stage, and emerging growth companies and venture capital funds.
- Comparable experience at a law firm is preferred.
- A Juris Doctor (.) degree is required.
- Candidates must be admitted to the bar in the jurisdiction of their primary office.
- Outstanding academic credentials are essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

Salary Information:

- The salary range for this position is $250,000 to $325,000.

This position can be based in any of the law firm’s . offices, with a preference for the Boston or New York offices. The firm is not currently accepting resumes from search firms for this position.
