Job Title: Senior Associate, State & Local Tax

Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in addressing state and local tax issues for multi-state alternative investment firms, including compliance, advising, planning, and handling controversies.
- Engage with multi-state companies on state and local tax controversies, which involves preparing clients for discussions with auditors, representing them at hearings and appeal meetings, and preparing protests.
- Collaborate as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide subject matter expertise and alternative investment industry knowledge.
- Review information presented on state income tax returns before, during, and after preparation.
- Build and manage client relationships while supervising, mentoring, and developing staff.
- Research and draft technical memoranda regarding income, franchise, and sales and use tax questions.

Education and Experience Information:
- A minimum of two years of experience in performing tax research and preparing state income tax returns for pass-through and corporate entities, providing technical advice on multi-state tax issues.
- Possess a Bachelor's degree, ., . in Taxation, and/or Master's in Taxation (MST) from an accredited college/university.
- Experience in providing services to pass-through entities with a solid knowledge of relevant state tax concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to foster relationships both internally and with clients.
- Ability and keen desire to perform in a high-energy team environment.
- Excellent writing, compliance, communication, and tax research skills.
