The Court's internship programs provide practical work experience and skill development while familiarizing participants with court procedures, operations, and activities. These programs aim to enhance understanding and appreciation for the judicial system.

Job Description

The Paralegal program offers participants the opportunity to gain valuable experience in preparing legal documents for cases involving child support, spousal support, and health insurance issues. Interns will have access to networking opportunities and will receive an overview of Court processes and procedures.

Placement Areas:
- Family Law (Self-Help Centers, Domestic Violence Clinic, Guardianship Clinic, Toll Family Law Counseling Center with LAFLA)

Who Should Apply:

- Students currently enrolled in paralegal schools, colleges, and universities throughout LA County
- Individuals who have completed a Paralegal certificate program in paralegal schools, colleges, or universities

Note: Most programs allow participation as an intern, and interns may receive accreditation or course credit from their school or certification program. It is the applicant's responsibility to determine if the Court's program meets the requirements of their specific course/program to receive credit.

What to Expect Next

If you qualify for the program, you will be placed on an eligibility list for up to 6 months and considered for available opportunities.
