Conflicts and Ethics Attorney The candidate works closely with the Associate Director of New Business Intake and a team of Conflicts & Ethics Attorneys. Reviews the firm's new business intake forms and related documents, including conflict reports to identity and resolve business and ethical conflicts. Drafts and reviews waiver letters, engagement letters, and communicates with lawyers and staff on any changes or additional information that may be necessary before the firm accepts the new business. Reviews conflict reports, researches corporate affiliations, and advise firm lawyers on conflict issues or relationship issues and relevant firm policies. Other duties may be assigned by the Associate Director of New Business Intake or Director of Conflicts & New Business Intake. A Juris Doctorate (.) is required. Must be actively licensed and in good standing with a State Bar. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, exceptional critical thinking and problem solving skills and a working knowledge of the rules of professional conduct. Demonstrate sound judgment, intellectual curiosity and are able to work well under pressure. Must also have the ability to adapt to changing priorities, meet deadlines and manage a heavy workload. Previous conflicts experience is preferred but not required.
