Job Title: Senior Manager - Settlement Administration

Job Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: The Senior Manager is responsible for directly managing a team of Managers, Analysts, and/or Coordinators. This includes providing feedback on performance, supporting and training for development, and writing and delivering employee reviews. The Senior Manager sets clear objectives and expectations for the team, motivating and enabling them to achieve these goals. Additionally, they act as the hiring manager to build out teams as needed, identifying top candidates for various roles.

- Client Relationship Oversight: Ensuring that cases assigned to their team are handled appropriately and client expectations are met and exceeded is a key responsibility. The Senior Manager provides support and guidance when needed and proactively escalates matters and issues to Directors and senior leadership. They engage directly with clients to define client needs and ensure engagements are handled appropriately and in a timely manner.

- Project Management: The Senior Manager is responsible for the direct supervision of project teams, ensuring timely and accurate execution of project deliverables, key milestones, and tasks. They oversee the terms of Settlement Agreement or other mandates/milestones, driving deadlines with timely quality outcomes while taking ownership and accountability for the overall delivery for the client.

- Performance Management: Setting billable hour goals and targets for utilization and quality for project team members is a critical task. The Senior Manager meets their own billable hour goals and targets, reviews key reports to ensure controls are accurately utilized, and ensures expected work is occurring from direct reports. They also validate invoicing as necessary and pay close attention to case budgets.

- Internal Collaboration: The Senior Manager works internally to meet client needs while building internal relationships and fostering team building. They utilize standard processes and systems, support new efforts and approaches, and provide feedback to encourage an environment of continuous improvement.

- Effective Decisions: Making well-informed, independent, effective, and timely decisions is crucial. The Senior Manager perceives the impact and implications of these decisions on projects and the business, making thoughtful recommendations to the Director and senior management.

Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor’s degree is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas is strongly preferred: claims administration, account management, client services, paralegal, and/or project management, preferably with budget responsibility for projects.
- Exceptional communication skills are essential.
- A background in legal, banking, financial services/accounting, or previous class action administration is required.
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, along with exceptional planning and organizational skills, are necessary.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills are required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to handle pressure are important.
- Previous leadership experience with responsibility for basic supervisory duties (hiring, developing, disciplining teams) is needed.
- PMP certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Paralegal experience or JD is also highly desirable.
