The Department of Law (DOL) is offering unpaid student internships in coordination with the Division of Administration, Human Resource Management. These internships provide law students with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the day-to-day work of the state's civil attorneys. The DOL has 11 sections in Newark, 14 sections in Trenton, and 1 in Voorhees where students can specialize in areas such as education law, civil rights litigation, and child protection proceedings.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform law clerk duties, including research and writing
- Observe court proceedings, client meetings, and other legal activities
- Attend training sessions offered to Deputy Attorneys General
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in law school
- Available during summer break, fall semester, or spring semester
