These internships provide law students with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the day-to-day work of the state's civil attorneys. The DOL has 11 sections in Newark, 14 sections in Trenton, and 1 in Voorhees where students can specialize in areas such as education law, civil rights litigation, and child protection proceedings.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform law clerk duties, including research and writing
- Observe court proceedings, client meetings, and other legal activities
- Attend training sessions offered to Deputy Attorneys General
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in law school
- Available during summer break, fall semester, or spring semester
