Job Responsibilities:
The Patent Prosecution Associate Attorney will be responsible for providing high-quality legal services in the area of patent prosecution. The role involves working collaboratively within the law firm to serve clients effectively. Key responsibilities include:
- Engaging in patent prosecution activities in various offices of the law firm.
- Collaborating with colleagues and clients to ensure superior service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Preparing and filing patent applications and responding to office actions from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
- Conducting legal research and analysis in the areas of physics, computer science, electrical engineering, and related fields.
- Developing and maintaining client relationships, ensuring clear and effective communication.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must have the following educational and professional credentials:
- A degree in physics, computer science, electrical engineering, or similar fields.
- Strong academic credentials and excellent references.
- At least one year of experience in patent prosecution.
- Advanced degrees and/or prior industry experience in relevant technologies are preferred.
- Admission to practice before the USPTO is required.
Salary Information:
The compensation for this position ranges from $225,000 to $310,000 annually. The specific salary will depend on the candidate's qualifications and experience. Additionally, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
