Job Title: Payroll Analyst - US Business Process Solutions - Managed Payroll Services

Job Responsibilities:
As a Payroll Analyst, you will play a crucial role in managing and processing payrolls for clients, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and company policies. Your key responsibilities include:

- Processing bi-weekly, monthly, or semi-monthly payrolls for US-based employees, covering salary, bonuses, and compensation adjustments for clients of varying sizes and industries.
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and tax regulations.
- Maintaining accuracy in payroll data entry, validation, and reconciliations through data uploads, APIs, and manual entries.
- Handling payroll-related deductions such as benefits, retirement contributions, and garnishments.
- Performing complex calculations both within and outside the payroll system, including gross ups.
- Keeping accurate payroll records and preparing reports for management, auditing, and compliance.
- Utilizing payroll software to update and maintain employee data, including new hires, terminations, and pay rate changes.
- Setting up clients on technology platforms and configuring and testing system changes.
- Resolving payroll discrepancies and addressing employee inquiries related to pay, taxes, and deductions within agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) response times.
- Supporting year-end payroll activities like W-2 preparation and distribution.
- Staying informed about changes in payroll regulations and ensuring compliance with legislation.
- Generating required payroll reports.
- Developing and maintaining client relationships through strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Absorbing, interpreting, and explaining data with an analytical and quantitative mindset.
- Adhering to checklists and procedure guides/workflows, ensuring they are up-to-date.
- Designing operational solutions to improve internal processes and client experience.
- Escalating issues to Senior Analyst/Manager as appropriate.
- Transforming prior processes to bridge process gaps, align with changing business requirements, and utilize efficiencies available through automation.

Education and Experience Information:
- A minimum of 1+ years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a multi-state US environment.
- A Bachelor’s degree in economics, human resources, international business, finance, accounting, or other liberal arts majors.
- One of the following active accreditations obtained, in process, or willing and able to obtain:
- Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA.
- If not CPA eligible:
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)
- Enrolled Agent
- Juris Doctor (JD)
- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model, co-locating in person 2 – 3 days per week.
- Ability to travel up to 10%, on average, based on the work and clients served.

Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency with payroll software such as ADP, Workday, Paycom, and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work as part of a dynamic team with diverse members.
- Strong analytical, consultative, quantitative, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Attention to detail, self-starter, and deadline-oriented.

Salary Information:
- The wage range for this role is $62,640 to $115,200, considering a wide range of factors such as skill sets, experience, training, licensure, and certifications.
- It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range, and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case.
- Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, where awards depend on individual and organizational performance.
