Job Title: Head of Intake Department

Job Responsibilities:
The Head of Intake Department at a plaintiff-side employment law firm is tasked with coordinating all aspects of the intake process for the firm. Key responsibilities include:

- Overseeing and executing all aspects of intake logistics such as scheduling appointments, calendaring, preparing intake documents and reports, and executing necessary follow-up steps.
- Managing all aspects of the internal intake process, including conducting comprehensive preliminary screening of prospective cases, completing required documentation, and summarizing information to guide lead attorney decision-making.
- Successfully steering the intake process from lead to retained client.
- Assessing the viability of cases based on established standards/guidelines and converting client intakes into retained cases.
- Gathering and reviewing necessary employment documentation and preparing summarized findings and recommendations for attorneys.
- Meeting regularly and following up with key attorneys, referring cases externally, gathering client information, retaining clients, and notifying leads of final intake determination.
- Maintaining an updated and organized intake database.
- Leading a small intake team to achieve established outcomes; providing guidance to team members, including training and performance management; conducting regular meetings with staff to communicate goals, expectations, and provide updates on department performance.
- Monitoring and evaluating department performance metrics, making recommendations for improvement as needed.
- Setting an exemplary high-performance leadership tone for the department.

The candidate must demonstrate effective leadership, ethical and professional conduct, and possess strong organizational skills, reliability, self-motivation, and attention to detail.

Education and Experience Information:
- The candidate must be a fully bilingual Spanish speaker and a licensed attorney in the state of California.
- Experience in supervising and leading teams is required.
- The candidate should have strong communication skills and the ability to effectively distill information to clients and attorneys.
- Empathy, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to engender client trust are essential.
- Exceptional organizational skills are necessary to manage the intake pipeline from beginning to end for both internal and external referrals.
- The candidate must possess strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, exhibit a high degree of resourcefulness, and be able to analyze data, consolidate information, and make data-driven recommendations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, MS Word, and Outlook) is required.

Salary Information:
- Pay for this full-time position is $100, per year.
