Job Title: Senior Counsel, Biopharma Solutions & Strategic Sourcing

Job Responsibilities:
The role of Senior Legal Counsel involves serving as the primary legal partner to leaders within a business unit, providing comprehensive legal counsel on various issues and offering guidance on risk mitigation. Key responsibilities include:

- Delivering excellent client service by counseling assigned division leaders on legal queries and issues such as contract compliance and confidentiality.
- Drafting initial formats and terms for commercial agreements and delivering them to customers and vendors to initiate negotiations. This involves interfacing with Contract Administration teams to set up contracts.
- Meeting with external parties to negotiate agreement terms, aiming to secure the most favorable terms for the business. The counsel provided is a mix of legal considerations and business acumen, advising business leaders on whether to accept or reject external party terms.
- Reviewing all terms and revisions from external parties and managing the iterations of commercial agreement terms.
- Reviewing marketing and public relations communications to ensure compliance with all product information and messaging.
- Identifying and liaising with appropriate Legal and Compliance teams on behalf of the business to resolve legal issues that do not fall within the purview of commercial and transaction law.
- Proactively identifying legal risks as a trusted business partner and providing insights on incorporating risk mitigation into strategic planning.
- Serving as a primary liaison and expert on the business in support of the Litigation team when the business engages in litigation.
- Advising business unit leaders on terms, risks, and due diligence during mergers and acquisitions activities.

Education and Experience Information:
- Juris Doctorate degree is required.
- 8-12 years of experience is preferred.
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field is also necessary.

Expected Competencies:
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to manage a wide variety of projects.
- Participation in the development of policies and procedures to achieve specific goals.
- Recommendation of new practices, processes, metrics, or models.
- Ability to work on or lead complex projects of large scope, potentially having significant and long-term impact.
- Capability to provide solutions that may set precedents.
- Independent determination of methods for the completion of new projects with guidance on overall project objectives.
- Acting as a mentor to less experienced colleagues.

Salary Information:
- The anticipated salary range is between $121,600 and $173,700.
- The position is bonus eligible.
- The salary range is an estimate, and pay is determined by multiple factors including geographical location, relevant education, experience, skills, and an evaluation of internal pay equity.
