Job Title: State & Local Tax Services Senior Manager
Job Responsibilities:
The State & Local Tax Services Senior Manager is responsible for coordinating, planning, and managing client engagements related to state and local income tax. The individual will serve as the primary client contact, ensuring exceptional client service. Key responsibilities include managing and developing staff, senior staff, and managers through coaching and training. The role requires leveraging an external network to lead sales and cross-collaboration efforts, providing thought leadership and California state technical expertise for state and local tax, and assisting in transformation efforts within this domain.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred for this position.
- Candidates must possess a CPA, JD/LLM, or CMI certification.
- A minimum of 8 years of tax experience in public accounting with a focus on state and local tax is required.
- Strong research, writing, and interpersonal skills are essential, with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain excellent client relationships.
- The candidate should have a demonstrated ability and desire to perform in a high-energy, dynamic environment.
- While review and supervisory experience is a plus, it is not a mandatory requirement.
Salary Information:
The wage range for the State & Local Tax Services Senior Manager role is estimated to be between $120, and $302, per year. The compensation decisions take into account various factors, including skill sets, experience, training, licensure, and certifications, as well as other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range has not been adjusted for the geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled. It is noted that it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range, and compensation decisions are based on the facts and circumstances of each case.
