Job Title: Intake Specialist (Part Time)
Job Responsibilities:
The Intake Specialist will work within the Statewide Centralized Intake Unit of the organization. This role is fully remote, but applicants must reside in Georgia. The successful candidate will be responsible for intake duties on a part-time basis, working three days a week (Monday to Wednesday, from 10 am to 3 pm). Key responsibilities include:
- Answering and returning incoming calls from individuals seeking legal assistance.
- Screening and interviewing clients to gather necessary information.
- Making appointments and assisting clients in completing forms and questionnaires.
- Referring clients to appropriate agencies and private attorneys.
- Inputting initial data and updating records in Legal Server.
- Directing clients to self-help websites for additional resources.
Education and Experience Information:
Applicants should have the ability to quickly establish rapport with callers to effectively and efficiently gather information needed to evaluate prospective clients' cases. Essential skills for this position include:
- Proficiency in identifying legal issues.
- Competency in using computers and good typing skills.
- Ability to operate office equipment without assistance.
- Proficiency in using Legal Server.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work.
- A proven track record of completing tasks in a timely manner.
- Prior experience as a paralegal, receptionist, or client pre-screener with the organization is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong writing and grammar skills are required.
Salary Information:
The starting salary for the Intake Specialist position is per hour, which is dependent upon experience and qualifications. The organization offers excellent fringe benefits.
