Job Title: Corporate Counsel

Job Responsibilities:
The Corporate Counsel at the company is tasked with providing comprehensive legal support across various domains, particularly within live music, marketing, sports, and other live events. The role involves a significant amount of contract management, including reviewing, drafting, and negotiating various types of agreements such as artist agreements, booking/sell-off agreements, co-pro agreements, master service agreements, professional service agreements, vendor/service provider agreements, venue agreements, scope of work, NDAs, independent contractor agreements, and letter agreements. The position requires collaboration with different departments such as Touring/Booking, Event Marketing, Accounting/Finance, Risk Management, Social/Digital, IT, and Human Resources to address their legal requirements. Additional duties include assisting the General Counsel and management with various tasks as requested, supporting a separate nonprofit entity on multiple matters including MOUs and gala-related agreements, reviewing insurance requirements, coordinating as a legal/compliance resource, managing corporate filings, and maintaining relationships with registered agents. The Corporate Counsel may also be assigned other duties or projects as needed.

Education and Experience Information:
The candidate must be a licensed attorney holding a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school. A minimum of 5 years of legal experience is required, preferably gained in-house or at a law firm. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred. The candidate should have prior experience in reviewing music, entertainment, and/or live event agreements. Key skills include professionalism, discretion, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality. The role demands highly effective written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and excellent critical thinking capabilities. There is a need for strong research skills and proficiency in identifying and resolving questions or issues effectively. The candidate must be capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment while adopting a team-oriented approach. The role requires responsiveness, collaboration, and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently under tight deadlines, demonstrating sound judgment at all times.

Salary Information:
The pay scale for the Corporate Counsel position ranges from $125,000 to $175,000 annually. Additionally, this position is eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
