Job Overview: A prestigious law firm is looking for a talented attorney to join its IP Litigation team in Washington, DC . Location:

  • Washington, DC 

Duties:

  • Represent clients in patent litigation and intellectual property disputes.
  • Draft legal documents such as motions, pleadings, discovery requests, and case briefs.
  • Manage discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
  • Advise clients on IP litigation strategies and risk mitigation.
  • Participate in hearings, motions practice, and oral arguments.
  • Contribute to PTAB (Patent Trial and Appeal Board) disputes when necessary.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop and execute litigation strategies.
  • Conduct legal research and provide in-depth analysis on IP issues.
  • Assist with business development and client relationship management.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience in IP or patent litigation.
  • Admission to the State Bar or eligibility for admission.
  • Strong academic record from a top-tier law school.
  • Technical background is highly preferred (., Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields).
  • Experience with PTAB matters is a plus.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Education:

  • . from an accredited law school (Class years 2019–2022 preferred).
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant technical field (., Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, etc.).

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar or eligibility to apply.

Skills:

  • Expertise in IP and patent law, with the ability to manage complex litigation.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and apply them in a legal context.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
