Responsibilities:
As a Junior Associate Disability Attorney, you will be responsible for representing clients in hearings before Social Security Administrative Law Judges and completing other assigned tasks. Your responsibilities will include:
Representing clients in hearings before Social Security Administrative Law Judges
Conducting legal research and writing pre-hearing brief memorandums for disability hearings
Drafting appeals council briefs
Answering client questions and providing regular client contact
Reviewing and developing pre-hearing and hearing level cases
Traveling to and from hearings in other cities and states up to 70% of the time
Meeting all deadlines and maintaining a high level of reliability and dependability
Constantly learning and striving to make a difference in the lives of clients
Qualifications:
Attorney license in good standing
Strong communication skills, both oral and written
Excellent legal writing skills
Ability to travel to and from hearings in other cities and states up to 70% of the time
Reliability and dependability
Eagerness to learn and make a difference
Residence in Texas, Florida, or Georgia
Knowledge of Social Security Disability law is preferred but not required
Salary Information:
Salary range is $50k-$65k annually depending on experience
