Job Title: Legal Internship, Spring
Job Responsibilities:
- Legal interns will be responsible for assisting in various legal tasks within the assigned division at the organization.
- Interns may be involved in legal research, drafting documents, and supporting attorneys in case preparation and court proceedings.
- Interns will engage with the Energy and Environment Bureau, which includes the Energy and Ratepayer Advocacy Division, the Environmental Protection Division, and the Environmental Crimes Strike Force.
- The Energy and Ratepayer Advocacy Division focuses on advocating for energy consumers in Massachusetts, ensuring equitable clean energy transitions, and addressing energy affordability issues.
- Interns will contribute to efforts aimed at reducing systemic inequities in energy costs, particularly for underserved communities and people of color who are disproportionately affected by high utility rates.
- Interns may assist in holding for-profit entities accountable for their commitments to consumers in the clean energy sector.
Education and Experience Information:
- The internship program is exclusively for students currently enrolled in law school.
- Individuals who have already completed law school are not eligible for this program.
- The selection of legal interns is done on a case-by-case basis, contingent upon the needs and requests of individual divisions within the organization.
Salary Information:
- The internship positions are unpaid.
