Job Responsibilities
A Law Clerk at the District Court level provides critical support to a judge, specifically Judge Christina Stevens, by engaging in a range of legal and administrative tasks. The primary responsibilities include:

- Conducting thorough reviews and research on laws, court decisions, briefs, and other legal authorities.
- Consulting with the judge on legal issues, preparing legal memoranda, and assisting in drafting orders.
- Attending court sessions to observe proceedings and record case information, aiding in courtroom duties during arraignments, motions, hearings, pre-trial conferences, and trials by calling the calendar, swearing in jury panels and witnesses, and documenting court proceedings.
- Performing various administrative duties within the judge’s chambers to ensure smooth court operations.

Education and Experience
To qualify for the position of a Law Clerk, candidates must meet the following educational requirements:

- Possession of a degree from an accredited law school at the time of employment.
- For those applying as a Law Clerk 1 (student), a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and current enrollment with completion of at least one year of law school at an accredited institution is necessary.

Candidates should possess a solid foundation in legal knowledge and skills, such as:

- Understanding of laws, court rules, and legal references.
- Familiarity with court practices and procedures.
- Proficiency in legal terminology and concepts.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a diverse audience including attorneys and pro se parties.

Salary Information
The salary for this full-time position is structured as follows:

- Minimum Salary: per hour, equating to $65,299 annually.
- Mid Salary: per hour, equating to $72,934 annually.
- Maximum Salary: per hour, equating to $80,618 annually.
