Job Title: Law Clerk/Associate Attorney Job Responsibilities: - Conduct legal research and complete discovery processes. - Draft legal documents, including routine pleadings, and file them in accordance with judicial procedures. - Prepare, organize, store, and retrieve case files, which may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, and other items. - Assist attorneys with trial preparation. - Develop and maintain records of billable hours spent on specific cases. - Communicate and obtain information, following up on delegated assignments. - Effectively communicate with clients, court personnel, opposing counsel, experts, and others. - Consistently follow up, multitask, and effectively prioritize to meet tight deadlines. - Perform other related duties as assigned. Education and Experience Information: - Must be a 3rd-year law student. - Must be in the process of taking the Virginia State Bar exam and/or waiting for test results.
