Head of Cyber Claims
The candidate will oversee a group of first- and third-party cyber claims adjusters; manage relationships with outside counsel and vendors; and provide timely and meaningful claim trend information to underwriters and actuaries. Manage a claims team including implementing best practices around the investigation, analysis and evaluation of coverage liability and damages. Formulate claims and litigation strategies. Assign, direct, and manage outside counsel and third-party vendors – including the assignment of matters and the management of costs. Identify liability and coverage trends and issues with both individual and portfolio impact and formulate the processes and strategies for handling such claims as well as ensure accurate and consistent claims management across impacted underwriting segments and lines of business. Facilitate the collection and analysis of claims-related data for analytic purposes. Review and update third party vendor panel on an ongoing basis. Disseminate information on claim trends to senior management and underwriting teams. Support underwriting inquiries and information requests. Coach and mentor members of the claims team. Communicate with senior executives, brokers, reinsurers, actuaries, insureds, and auditors (both external and internal).
