Law Firm Seeks Associate Attorney for Family Law Cases
The Law Firm, located in Round Rock, Texas, is currently seeking an entry-level associate attorney to join our team. We specialize in family law cases and serve clients in Williamson and Travis Counties. Our firm is dedicated to providing top-notch legal representation while upholding the highest ethical and professional standards.
Responsibilities:
As an associate attorney, you will be responsible for drafting relevant pleadings, motions, responses, and other legal documents as needed for each case. You will also be communicating with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel, and attending various hearings, trials, depositions, and mediations under the guidance of an experienced attorney.
Requirements:
To be considered for this position, you must have at least one year of litigation experience. While previous family law experience is preferred, it is not required. We are looking for candidates who are reliable, detail-oriented, and discreet. You must also present a professional appearance and demeanor, even under stressful situations. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are essential, as well as a solid understanding of Texas laws, codes, and court procedures in family law.
In addition, the ideal candidate should be able to work with a high level of accuracy and meet strict deadlines. You must be able to work independently and proactively, while also taking direction and responding positively to constructive criticism. Collaboration is a key aspect of our firm, so the ability to work well in small groups is a must. You should also be able to manage multiple projects and priorities, exercise sound independent judgment, and be proficient with file management in cloud-based systems. Familiarity with Office365, specifically Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat is necessary, as well as comfort with Microsoft Excel for basic tasks such as data entry, sorting, filtering, and basic formulas. The ability to work Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 . to 5:30 ., with occasional additional hours for trial and hearing preparation, is required.
