Energy & Climate Solutions Associate – Project Finance
Job Responsibilities:
The Energy & Climate Solutions Associate for Project Finance at the law firm will be responsible for engaging in significant transactional work, focusing on project finance and structured asset-based finance, as well as non-recourse lending transactions. The candidate will gain exposure to representing various stakeholders such as sponsors, developers, borrowers, lenders, or investors. Responsibilities include involvement in secured lending, tax equity, and other LLC financings and joint ventures. The associate will work closely with experienced partners and senior lawyers, receiving active mentoring and being part of a collaborative team of attorneys dedicated to clean energy and climate solutions. The role offers a high level of responsibility and client interaction with a diverse range of companies, from start-ups to leading international infrastructure investors. The associate will develop a broad spectrum of project finance and development experience by working with innovative companies in the industry.
Education and Experience Information:
The ideal candidate should possess 3-5 years of substantial transactional experience at a major law firm, with a focus on project finance and/or structured asset-based finance and non-recourse lending transactions. Experience in the clean energy and climate infrastructure finance sector is preferred. Strong drafting and negotiating skills are essential, along with superior academic credentials. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are required to succeed in this role. The candidate may be based in Los Angeles, San Francisco, or New York.
Salary Information:
The salary range for the Energy & Climate Solutions Associate position is $260,000 to $365,000, depending on the year classification. In addition to the base salary, discretionary merit bonuses may also be awarded.
