Records Specialist

Job Responsibilities

- Creates and bar-codes active and inactive client files.
- Performs data entry in the records management database.
- Assists users with requests for information or reports from the records database.
- Answers and responds to email requests and phone calls.
- Prepares and processes client files for off-site storage.
- Provides back-up assistance with the delivery of off-site storage boxes to clients.
- Escorts off-site storage vendor to the staging area for box pick-up and deliveries.
- Performs scheduled audits of the records center, offices, and workstations.
- Assists with retention and destruction activities.
- Provides back-up assistance with escorting confidential shredding vendor to the locations of shredding bins for service.
- Provides case room management assistance.
- Provides back-up assistance with scheduled file pick-ups.
- Assists records center personnel as needed and assists with additional projects as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
