Job Responsibilities

The Sr. Associate Counsel, Global Regulatory Affairs at the company is a crucial member of the Global Regulatory Affairs legal team. This role involves managing and coordinating complex regulatory matters, supporting and advising internal teams, and developing the company’s strategy in key regulatory areas. Key responsibilities include:

- Collaborating closely with global and regional legal, business, and government engagement teams to manage complex and time-sensitive regulatory matters.
- Supporting the development of global regulatory positions and strategy, drafting regulatory submissions to government agencies, driving thought leadership, and engaging directly with regulators and policymakers worldwide.
- Developing global best practices in key areas and ensuring consistent application of global regulatory strategies across the organization.
- Monitoring and tracking legislative and regulatory developments and trends in collaboration with regional legal and government engagement teams.
- Preparing and delivering regular reports and updates to senior stakeholders regarding regulatory developments.
- Demonstrating strong attention to detail in drafting, research, and communication.
- Managing multiple priorities, delivering high-quality work products, and meeting tight deadlines.

Education and Experience Information

Basic Qualifications

- 2 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s degree and . from an accredited law school.
- A member of the bar of any . state and in good standing.
- Admitted to practice law in the United States and in good standing.

Preferred Qualifications

- 4 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s degree and . from an accredited law school.
- Strong academic credentials.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong preference for prior experience in payments, financial services, or technology.
- Strong preference for prior experience in law firms with international and regulatory practice groups, in-house counsel roles, large global organizations, or government.
- Ability to develop strong and collaborative working relationships with colleagues across functions.
- Practical and strategic problem-solving skills with excellent judgment and intellectual curiosity.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively as needed.
- Experience working internationally, with fluency or professional proficiency in foreign languages being a plus.

Salary Information

The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $176,800 to $230,000 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments if applicable. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Additionally, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
