Environmental Paralegal Responsibilities: Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, and legal memoranda. Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices. E-file court documents in federal and state courts. Prepare discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses. Draft and server summons. Coordinate and summarize depositions. Prepare deposition and hearing binders and exhibits. Draft pleadings, motions, and appellate documents and file them with the court. Aid attorney with interrogatories and other discovery requests. Interface with clients to keep them apprised of the status of their case and to obtain documents needed for discovery. Gather relevant information from a variety of sources. Liaise between the attorneys and internal/external third parties, including co-counsel, counsel for defendants, and the courts.

Qualifications: Associate Degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience is preferred. 5+ years of environmental working experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting. Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program is preferred. General Litigation Experience, preferably with environmental experience, as well as a federal court. Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, and procedures, practices. Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
