Job Responsibilities:
The Legal Internship Program offers students the opportunity to engage with the **Members Only** during the spring semesters. Interns will be placed in various bureaus and divisions, including but not limited to the Health Care and Fair Competition Bureau and the Antitrust Division. The responsibilities of legal interns may vary depending on the division they are assigned to. However, general duties include:
- Assisting in the enforcement of antitrust laws to protect consumers, state agencies, and businesses.
- Participating in policy initiatives and promoting legislation that supports competition.
- Engaging in legal research and drafting legal briefs for ongoing antitrust cases.
- Supporting the divisions in investigating anti-competitive mergers, price-fixing agreements, and other illegal practices.
- Contributing to the coordination efforts of divisions involved with Massachusetts's health care sector and charities.
Education and Experience Information:
The Legal Internship Program is specifically designed for individuals who are currently enrolled in law school. It is important to note that individuals who have already completed law school are not eligible for this program. The program seeks candidates who are actively pursuing their legal education and are interested in gaining practical experience within a governmental legal setting.
Salary Information:
