Title: Litigation Attorney - Texas
Job Responsibilities:
The Litigation Attorney at the law firm will be part of the Defense Litigation group, working either from the Houston or Dallas office, or remotely within Texas. The attorney will handle a diverse and challenging caseload, which includes complex commercial litigation, general liability defense, construction defect cases, tort litigation, product liability, premises liability, and automobile liability matters. The role demands significant responsibility, requiring the attorney to work independently on various matters or take charge of large-scale discovery and depositions. Drafting complex opinions and motions is a key component of the job, and there is an opportunity to work on appellate matters, which is considered a plus. The attorney is expected to possess strong written communication skills, and bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is strongly preferred. Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for the Litigation Attorney position must be admitted to the Texas bar in good standing. Ideal candidates will have experience in complex commercial litigation or general liability defense, covering areas such as construction defect, general commercial litigation, tort litigation, product liability, premises liability, and/or automobile liability matters. Experience in appellate matters is advantageous but not mandatory. Strong written communication skills, particularly in drafting complex opinions and motions, are essential.
