Job Title: Attorney - Professional Liability (Architects & Engineers)

Job Responsibilities:
The attorney will be responsible for defending professional liability claims involving architects, engineers, and construction defects. Key duties include:
- Conducting research and drafting legal memoranda.
- Drafting pleadings, substantive motions, and written discovery.
- Developing litigation strategy and conducting large-scale document reviews and productions.
- Directly working with clients and maintaining communication with opposing counsel.
- Participating in trials, depositions, and evidentiary hearings as a second chair.
- Drafting clear and effective pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs, mediation statements, orders, and settlement agreements.
- Managing multiple legal matters simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines.
- Building and maintaining relationships with current clients and developing new client relationships.

Education and Experience Information:
- Admission to the Illinois State Bar is required.
- A minimum of three years of litigation experience is necessary.
- Experience in defending professional liability claims concerning architects and engineers is required.
- Insurance defense experience is considered advantageous.
- The candidate must possess excellent writing and analytical skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills are essential.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are needed.

Salary Information:
The salary range for this position is between $120,000 and $190,000.
