We do not need to tell you that as a very successful Arizona firm the people here do appear to work very hard and we hate to say it but we will: Many are working New York type hours. The firm also has been criticized in many respects for its lack of diversity; however, we do not believe that this is a serious problem because the firm's recent hires have all been very diverse in our opinion. The firm also receives very high scores for the treatment of associates by partners and there does appear to be a very good relationship here between associates and partners with associates feeling they are part of the mix to a great degree and respected by partners. Most associates at this firm would much rather stay with the firm than switch firms. In our book this is a good sign.
Paralegal Assistant - Personal Planning Group The candidate assists in the drafting of wills, powers of attorney, revocable trusts, and other related documents. Prepares documents relating to the transfer of assets, including deeds, notices of withdrawal rights, and assignments. Creates electronic and hard copy records. Maintains physical and electronic records up to date. Obtains electronic signatures on client documents. Prepares distribution of documents for execution. Prepares mailings of completed documents to clients. Prepares reconciliation of invoices and credit cards Maintains positive contact with attorneys and paralegals and observes confidentiality of client matters. Keeps accurate time records. Maintains a positive attitude and provides excellent client service. Performs computer database input and retrieval. Performs other duties, as assigned. Be present at work during regularly scheduled working hours and as needed in the job position, consistent with the Firm's attendance expectations. Requires a high school diploma and a year of related experience as a Paralegal Assistant or in a legal administrative support role in probate and trust administration AA or BA degree preferred. A paralegal certificate is a plus. Familiarity with commonly used programs such as Outlook, Excel, and OneNote a plus. Attention to detail is a must. Strong organizational, analytical, communications, and related technical skills. Effective verbal and writing skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks, concurrent deadlines and work well under pressure. Ability to establish effective working relationships with Firm lawyers and paralegals, client personnel, and other professionals including responding to emails and phone calls in a timely manner. Independently prioritize and organize workflow, possess strong attention to detail, and display initiative. Demonstrates an increased level of technical understanding of legal tasks and procedures. Demonstrates ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment. Excellent customer service skills.
