Law Firm Seeking Experienced Business Analyst for Information Services Department

As a Business Analyst at our firm, you will work closely with multiple stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, translate them into functional specifications, and manage them throughout the development cycle. You will also have the opportunity to lead and mentor other IS roles, as well as contribute to continuous process improvement and automation efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze business needs and recommend new business technology solutions
- Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications
- Manage requirements throughout the development cycle
- Work closely with Project Management and Quality Assurance teams
- Draft reports to assist decision-making
- Collaborate with team members to understand operational challenges
- Produce project reports on application development and implementation
- Assist with User Acceptance Test plans and serve as a liaison between technical and business teams
- Support users during deployments and implementation activities
- Contribute to continuous process improvement efforts
- Evaluate processes and workflows for opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Design and test process upgrades and new systems
- Develop routines and best practices for product quality
- Stay up-to-date on the latest applications of information technology
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, business administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 7 years of IT industry experience and 4 years of business/process analysis experience
- Strong business analysis and requirements gathering experience
- Knowledge of system modeling processes and tools
- Familiarity with database concepts and data modeling
- Excellent project management and organization skills
- Experience documenting complex systems and procedures
- Proficiency in Data Analytics and Reporting Metrics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of system life cycle processes
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Attention to detail
Working Environment and Physical Demands:
- Office setting with standard equipment such as computers, phones, and fax machines
- Medium work with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
- Close visual acuity for data analysis, transcribing, and computer use
