A reputable law firm in North Carolina is seeking a compassionate and driven Associate Family Law Attorney to join its Garner-based team. Represent clients in family law matters including mediation and trials
Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, agreements, contracts, and orders
Provide responsive, compassionate, and proactive customer service
Assist clients in understanding their legal options and developing appropriate legal strategies
Maintain professionalism and empathy when dealing with emotionally sensitive cases
Collaborate effectively with a team to achieve individual, client, and firm goals
Ensure adherence to firm deadlines, legal procedures, and case management standards
Active North Carolina law license (must be obtained prior to start; assistance provided for swearing-in)
Ability to manage independent caseloads and assist senior attorneys
Capability to handle legal matters with professionalism under emotional or stressful circumstances
Willingness to work on-site and travel to courts in designated counties
Valid North Carolina Notary Public, or ability to obtain immediately
Three professional references
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Licensed to practice law in North Carolina
North Carolina Notary Public (or ability to obtain upon hire)
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Excellent client relationship and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated empathy and conflict resolution in family law matters
Highly organized with attention to detail
Proficient with legal technology and documentation
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment
