A well-established and growing family law firm is seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Associate Attorney to handle complex family law matters. The ideal candidate will be an empathetic legal professional with proven leadership capabilities, a commitment to client advocacy, and strong experience managing family law cases from consultation through final resolution. Location:

  • Garner, North Carolina

Duties:

  • Represent clients in family law matters from initial consultation through litigation and resolution

  • Develop legal strategies to protect clients' interests in divorce, custody, child support, and related cases

  • Serve as lead attorney, managing all aspects of assigned cases including court appearances, client meetings, and negotiations

  • Maintain regular, clear, and empathetic communication with clients and the court

  • Collaborate with internal legal and support teams to ensure timely and high-quality service delivery

  • Guide legal and administrative staff to coordinate workflows and case progress efficiently

  • Uphold high ethical standards and foster a positive, professional working environment

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a lead attorney in family law matters

  • Demonstrated expertise in North Carolina family law, particularly in Wake County

  • Proven ability to manage complex caseloads independently and effectively

  • Comfortable directing legal and support staff in a team-oriented environment

  • Committed to maintaining high standards in legal outcomes, client communication, and professional conduct

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited . law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in North Carolina

  • In good standing with the North Carolina State Bar

Skills:

  • Strong litigation, negotiation, and case management skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to support clients through sensitive matters

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills

  • Adaptability and initiative in a fast-paced legal setting
