Duties:
Handle insurance coverage matters from inception through resolution
Analyze policy language across a variety of coverage lines, including CGL, D&O, E&O, and excess/umbrella policies
Draft legal memoranda, coverage opinions, and position letters
Represent clients in coverage litigation, including motion practice and court appearances
Collaborate with clients to assess risks and develop strategic legal approaches
Work closely with other attorneys in the group to manage caseloads efficiently
Requirements:
7-10 years of recent and relevant experience in insurance coverage law
Demonstrated proficiency in handling complex insurance coverage matters
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional legal research and analytical capabilities
Ability to work independently while contributing to team efforts
Licensed to practice law in New York State
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited . law school
Certifications:
Admission to the New York State Bar is required
Skills:
Deep knowledge of coverage disputes and policy analysis
Skilled in litigation strategy, pleadings, and dispositive motions
Proficient in legal research platforms and Microsoft Office Suite
Effective case and time management abilities
Strong client service orientation and professional judgment
