Corporate Counsel - Labor Relations Job Description:

- Manage all legal affairs of the company as Corporate Counsel
- Report to the CFO and ensure adherence to law guidelines
- Oversee legal aspects of the business and safeguard company's reputation
- Provide legal advice to management on relevant issues
- Collaborate with management to devise efficient defense strategies
- Research and evaluate risk factors in business decisions and operations
- Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advice
- Communicate and negotiate with external parties and maintain relationships of trust
- Draft and solidify agreements, contracts, and other legal documents
- Deal with complex matters and multiple stakeholders
- Clarify legal language and specifications for all employees
- Conduct work with integrity and responsibility
- Stay updated on changes in legislation
- Participate in litigation and manage intellectual property portfolio
- Ensure regulatory compliance for global data privacy laws and other regulations
- Support Human Resources with labor and employment law advisement
- Develop, implement, and monitor client contracts for compliance and privacy concerns
- Regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the position
- Supervise and carry out leadership responsibilities in accordance with company policies and laws

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as Legal Counsel in a business environment or at a law firm
- Excellent knowledge of corporate law and procedures
- Understanding of external influences on corporations
- Ability to create legal defensive or proactive strategies
- High level of professional ethics and integrity
- Sound judgement and analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills for overseeing and directing others
- Advanced analytical abilities for data collection and investigations
- Ability to plan and manage operations and activities
- Demonstrates sound business judgement and understanding of Corporate Compliance & Privacy programs
- Maintains credibility, independence, integrity, confidentiality, and trust

Education and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree required, Master's or BS in Business Administration preferred
- Juris Doctorate and Licensed Attorney required
- 3+ years of experience in corporate legal services or law firm with transactional expertise
