Job Title:
- Attorney II - Insurance Defense (Remote)
- Primary attorney assigned to caseload defending 1st and 3rd party personal injury cases.
Experience Information:
- Minimum of 3 years of insurance defense or related experience.
- Experience as the primary attorney defending personal injury lawsuits.
- 3+ insurance defense personal injury trials to verdict or equivalent litigation experience.
Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive review of new and transfer file assignments.
- Initial evaluation letter to claims and service of initial discovery within 30 days.
- Summarizing discovery responses and medical records within 30 days.
- Taking and defending depositions and completion of deposition summaries within 20 days.
- Law and motion tasks including legal research, preparation of motions, and court appearances.
- Trial preparation, trial, and post-trial motions.
- Other necessary tasks to adequately defend the insured.
Qualifications:
- Minimum education requirement of a law degree and admission to the bar in the state(s) where practicing.
- Preferred education requirement of a law degree from an accredited law school and admission to the bar in the state(s) where practicing.
- Minimum of 3 years of insurance defense or related experience.
- Preferred experience of 5+ years of insurance defense and 7+ insurance defense personal injury trials to verdict.
- Skills and abilities including comprehensive knowledge of insurance, torts, evidence, civil procedure, and trial practice, effective communication and persuasion skills, and the ability to work independently and manage a caseload.
Pay Range:
- Salary range of USD $121, to USD $225, per year.

- Must reside in Southern California.

- Minimum of 3 years of insurance defense or related experience, with experience as the primary attorney in personal injury cases.
- Must have strong communication, persuasion, and analytical skills.
- Must be able to work independently and manage a caseload with exposures up to $150,000.
- Must have a clean driving record and current license.
- Travel required, up to 20% of work time.
- Comprehensive review of new and transfer file assignments within 30 days.
