Job Title: Contracts Manager, AWS Infrastructure Legal
Job Responsibilities:
The Contracts Manager will be part of the AWS real estate legal team, which is responsible for supporting the worldwide data center expansion of Amazon Web Services (AWS). Key responsibilities include:
- Transactional drafting and negotiating of service agreements, work orders, easements, lease amendments, and other real estate documents.
- Providing day-to-day contracting advice to business team members.
- Supporting AWS’s existing real estate portfolio and collaborating cross-functionally with other teams.
- Driving process improvements and initiatives to track and simplify real estate transactions from beginning to end.
- Managing outside counsel and creating and leading training sessions.
Education and Experience Information:
Basic qualifications for the role include:
- 5+ years of contracts management, paralegal, or comparable experience within a law firm, legal department, or property management or real estate development company, with experience in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts.
- Experience with real estate and/or construction contracts.
Preferred qualifications include:
- The ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Effectiveness at prioritizing and managing multiple tasks of varying duration and complexity.
- Demonstrated judgment even in ambiguous situations.
- Being curious, adaptable, enthusiastic, and enjoying working hard and being challenged in a fun, team-oriented environment.
- A Bachelor's Degree.
Salary Information:
Amazon’s compensation for this role reflects the cost of labor across various US geographic markets. The base pay for the position ranges from $68,400/year in the lowest geographic market to $146,300/year in the highest geographic market. Pay may vary depending on factors like market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base pay, the total compensation package may include equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation, along with a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
